Ph.D. in Economics

Northwestern University

Welcome!

I am from Puno, Peru, and I recently received my Ph.D. from the Department of Economics at Northwestern University. I will join the Department of Economics at Cornell University as a Provost New Faculty Fellow in July 2025 and as an Assistant Professor in July 2026.

My research interests lie broadly in econometric theory, (statistical) machine learning, and their applications in economics. Recently, I have focused on debiased machine learning (DML), inference using local projections, and identification and inference problems for treatment effects in stratified experiments. If you’re interested in discussing these topics, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
